Hi! I’m Nandini, a student at UC Berkeley studying Economics with several years of experience working with and teaching students of different ages. I’m especially experienced in math and enjoy helping students turn concepts that initially seem confusing into something much more straightforward. My approach to tutoring is centered around efficiency and understanding the groundwork first. I believe students learn best when they understand why something works rather than simply memorizing a formula or set of steps. I focus on identifying the specific point where a student’s understanding breaks down, strengthening that foundation, and then building from there. This also helps me avoid spending time reviewing material a student already understands. I try to make math feel logical and approachable by breaking problems into smaller steps and teaching students how to recognize patterns they can apply to future problems. I’m patient and adaptable with how I explain concepts, but I also want students to become more independent and confident over time. My goal is not just to help a student get through one assignment, but to give them a stronger understanding of the material so they can solve similar problems more efficiently on their own.
Nandini is newer to High Performance Tutoring but brings extensive prior experience, hired for genuine subject mastery, clear communication, and a personality students connect with.
