High Performance Tutoring was the best thing we've discovered in recent years. Our son got the support he needed for AP Physics and Calculus, and it gave him the confidence to pursue engineering in college.

High Performance Tutoring blends deep knowledge, genuine compassion, and serious professionalism. My son made HUGE improvements in his honors-level chemistry and math this year. More importantly, he's built more confidence academically, because they helped him see that his hard work can pay off.

We've used High Performance for two years. Victor helped my son with Chemistry, his grade went from a D to a B+, and he ended up liking the class. They've also tutored him in Algebra and for the ACT. They genuinely enjoy working with the kids, and the kids enjoy working with them!

Larson was very good with Adam. It was to prepare him for his first chemistry test, and he ended up with a 94%, one of the highest grades in the class, where the average was a C-. Will definitely be meeting with him again.

This group is just excellent! When my daughter fell behind in Chemistry, they helped her get back up to speed and get the highest score across all classes on the final exam. They hire only the best tutors and customize their work to your student. I'd use them again in a New York minute!

This tutoring service has been life changing for our family. When we started, our son was failing chemistry. He got an 89% on his final, seriously an amazing turnaround. It's been great watching him gain confidence as he now understands the subjects instead of having his classwork wash over him.

We've used High Performance Tutoring for two subjects, Calc and Chem, and have been very happy. The most important thing was for our son to feel confident, and that's exactly what happened. He came home saying, 'Now I get it.' Highly recommend.

A Parent's Question

“How do you match my student with the right tutor?”

We start by learning your student's goals, level, and learning style, then hand-pick a High Performance Certified tutor who fits. Your first hour is free, so you can make sure it's the right match before committing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your tutor starts by pinpointing exactly where you're getting stuck, then builds a personalized plan to close those gaps and build real understanding, not just homework answers. Every session is one-on-one and tailored to how you learn.

Your first hour of tutoring is completely free, no commitment required. Browse our tutors, find the one who best fits your needs, and book your first session right here on the website. Prefer to have us handle it? Call us at (801) 508-4080 and we'll match you with a great tutor and book your first hour for you. Either way, you only continue if you're happy, it's how we let the quality of our tutors speak for itself.

Tutoring starts at only $60/hour! Your exact rate depends on a few things: whether you meet online or in-person, whether it's an academic subject or SAT/ACT test prep, which tutor you work with (some cost more than others), and whether you pay as you go or buy a package, bulk hours come at a discount. After your free first hour we'll put together a plan that fits your goals and budget. The easiest way to start is to create an account and set up your free first session online in minutes, or just call or text us at (801) 508-4080.

Your first session is free! After that, we keep a credit card on file and charge it as each session is completed, with no large upfront payment and no long-term contract. If you'd like to save, our academic tutoring offers a discounted 10-hour Honor Roll package, and our SAT and ACT prep is sold in packages of 12, 24, or 48 hours, with a lower per-hour rate the more hours you buy. For SAT and ACT prep you can also spread the cost over 12 months with our financing option through Affirm.

You choose what's most convenient for in-person sessions, your home, a local library, or a coffee shop, at the same price either way. We tutor throughout the greater Salt Lake City area, and online anywhere in the U.S. Once you're matched, you and your tutor settle on a regular spot that works for you both.

We cover math from middle school through advanced college courses, the sciences (physics, chemistry, and biology), statistics, computer science, and SAT, ACT, and PSAT prep. Many of our tutors also help with the GRE, GMAT, and MCAT. Just ask about your specific subject or test, chances are we have a tutor for it.

Yes! It's our most popular option. We meet on Zoom or Google Meet in an interactive video classroom that's every bit as personalized as meeting in person, and it's typically more cost-effective. It also opens up our entire national network of tutors instead of limiting you to who's nearby, so you get the best possible match for your subject and goals, from anywhere in the U.S.

We hire only the top 5% of tutor applicants and train them to become High Performance Certified, vetted for subject mastery, teaching ability, and personality. And unlike companies that just hand you a name from a directory, our tutors work as a team: they share notes and coordinate behind the scenes, so switching tutors or getting help across multiple subjects stays seamless. You're not getting a random tutor, you're getting one of the best, backed by a whole team.

Tell us the subject, your goals, your schedule, and whether you'd prefer in-person or online sessions, and we'll match you with the tutor who fits best. If it's not the right fit, we'll find you another at no extra cost.

Just let us know and we'll match you with a different tutor at no extra cost, no awkward conversation needed. Because our tutors work as a team and share notes, a new tutor can pick up right where the last one left off. We care about the right fit, not just any fit.

For most students who complete our program, SAT scores typically improve 150–300 points and ACT scores 3–7 points, and those are typical ranges, not a ceiling: our best students have gained 300+ points on the SAT and 7+ on the ACT. Results aren't guaranteed; the single biggest factor is the effort you put in between sessions, and our personalized approach is built to maximize every point.

Absolutely! We understand that life happens. We only ask for 6 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a session, which is far more generous than the 24-hour policy most tutoring companies require. Just contact us and we'll find a new time that works. You can also log in to your account and reschedule or cancel a session there. You have complete control over your schedule.
