Bio
Mathematics and physics have fascinated me ever since I was a young kid lost in the joy of solving puzzles and mesmerized by the cosmic possibilities when I first saw Star Wars on the television. Since then, I acquired a double B.S. in both fields at University of California, Davis, in 2005, returning to academia in 2017 to earn a M.A. and M.S. in those very fields, respectively, at San Francisco State University. My tutoring journey began in college working with peers, and then split between working as a graduate teaching assistant in various topics within mathematics and physics as well as traditional tutoring for those who needed focused help or a desire to push beyond the classroom norm. Having seen how the subject matter is taught in the classrooms at various levels, I knew I could bring something new and essential to give students critical tools to aid themselves in understanding the content but also enabling their self-confidence. Seeing them flourish and realize that they can do well and even go beyond their expectations is exciting. Even to this day, I still study and look into the frontiers of what is happening in research in both fields because they are simply cool. Learning never stops and sharing that passion is a joy.
