Dear Students and Parents,

My greatest joy in life is witnessing that “light bulb” moment—when a challenging concept finally clicks and a student realizes, “I can do this.” Learning should feel exciting and empowering at every level, whether you’re a middle school student building foundational skills, a high schooler preparing for the ACT or SAT, or a college student navigating complex science or math courses.

Since graduating from Harvey Mudd College in 2007, I’ve spent over 15,000 hours tutoring students in math, science, and test preparation, as well as teaching at the university level. Through these experiences, one truth has become clear: a great tutor doesn’t just improve grades—they transform the way students see themselves.

When academic struggles begin, even bright and capable students can lose confidence. The right tutor can change that. A skilled educator doesn’t just explain material—they restore belief, inspire curiosity, and help students rediscover their potential. That transformation is what inspired me to create High Performance Tutoring.

In 2011, I brought together a team of passionate educators, learning specialists, and community leaders to design a tutoring model built on three pillars: quality, compassion, and measurable results. What began in Salt Lake City quickly grew across the country, and I’m proud to bring that same standard of excellence to Denver—a city known for its strong schools, innovative spirit, and commitment to growth.
