Bio: Having the opportunity to play a modest but important role in the Great Drama of Science excites me immeasurably. My masters level education in Biotechnology solidified my passion for science, and my professional career in cornea transplantation taught me compassion and diligence, and I shared that mindset with my employees who I trained and developed as professionals. My earliest experience as a bio-fuel researcher planted the seeds of inquiry, cultivated a love for science, and grew a sense of vocational calling. As a young student, I gravitated towards the math and sciences then advanced to majoring in Human Biology as an undergrad and then excelled as a graduate student, receiving a 3.83 GPA while maintaining a full time managerial job and raising a family. I co-founded two high school collaborations where I presented several seminars and directed growth curve experiments as well as taught proper lab techniques and tutored in my free time. My passion for science is boundless, and I love looking for new ways to explore the subjects. I look forward to furthering our understanding of these subjects with new students, and I believe that I am capable of doing this in a compassionate and thoughtful way.
