Bio: I have loved learning about the subjects of math and physics from about 6th grade onward. The point at which most people get discouraged by the sudden appearance of letters mingled with math is where it got interesting for me. I taught myself the basics of calculus in 9th grade, and started on general relativity shortly thereafter (though that one admittedly took a lot longer). I went on to get a BS ('01) and MS ('05) in physics from BYU.
I have tutored my peers since high school, but really kicked my professional tutoring into gear in 2012. Since that point I have logged over 6100 hours, covering all parts of math from basic arithmetic to partial differential equations, as well as all areas of physics, from high school to college level.
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring--what keeps me coming back for more--is the opportunity to "see the lights come on" as a subject that was challenging to a student in the classroom becomes easy and transparent as I work one-on-one with him or her.
